Range Rover Sport vs Genesis GV80Which Chauffeur Car for Your Event?

A side-by-side comparison of our two most-booked chauffeur SUVs: presence, rear-seat comfort, luggage space and which one suits weddings, corporate work and airport runs.

Range Rover Sport vs Genesis GV80 — Which Chauffeur Car for Your Event?

Two vehicles do most of our chauffeur work in Sydney: the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport and the Genesis GV80. Both seat four in comfort, both are immaculately presented, and both cost the same to book. They just do different jobs well.

Choose the Range Rover Sport when the car is part of the picture

If the vehicle will appear in photographs or the arrival itself matters, the Range Rover wins. It has the silhouette people recognise from across a car park, the ride height makes getting in and out in formalwear genuinely easier, and it looks the part outside a sandstone church or a Southern Highlands vineyard.

Book it for: weddings, engagement shoots, red-carpet style arrivals, media days, school formals, and any job where guests will see the car.

Choose the Genesis GV80 when the ride matters more than the badge

The GV80's advantage is what happens once the doors close. It's the quieter of the two at highway speed, the rear seats are the more comfortable place to spend 45 minutes in traffic, and it draws less attention — which is exactly what an executive between meetings usually wants.

Book it for: airport transfers, corporate roadshows, client pickups, all-day as-directed executive work, and discreet VIP movements.

What's identical

  • Price: both are chauffeured from $150 AUD per hour, 2-hour minimum.

When neither is the right call

  • 5–7 passengers: book the LDV Mifa Luxe people mover instead.
  • Maximum impact arrival: the Mercedes-AMG G63 is the statement vehicle in the fleet.
