Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Sydney Exotic Car Hire Pty Ltd (ABN 89 660 938 376) ("we", "us", "our") operates sydneyexoticcarhire.com.au. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Who handles your information
- Self-drive rentals are booked on Turo. When you click a "Book on Turo" button you leave our website. Your account, identity checks, payment, insurance and trip details are collected and handled by Turo under Turo's own privacy policy. We receive the booking details Turo shares with hosts so we can hand over the vehicle.
- Chauffeur, airport transfer, event, private tour and rent-to-own enquiries are collected and handled directly by Sydney Exotic Car Hire Pty Ltd.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off locations, dates and times, passenger numbers, the vehicle or service you are interested in, and anything you write in a message or enquiry form.
- Details from conversations: messages and call details when you contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp, Instagram or another social platform.
- Website usage information: pages viewed, buttons clicked (including clicks through to Turo, phone and WhatsApp), approximate location based on IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site.
- Where you came from: the referring website or app and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), plus advertising click identifiers such as fbclid or gclid. We use this to group visits into channels such as paid social, organic social, paid search, organic search, AI assistant referral, email, referral and direct.
We do not ask for or store payment card details on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
3. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use the following tools, which place cookies or similar identifiers on your device:
| Tool | Provider | What it is used for |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Measuring visits, pages viewed and actions taken so we can improve the site | |
| Google Ads conversion tracking | Measuring which ads led to an enquiry, a call, a WhatsApp chat or a click through to Turo | |
| Meta Pixel | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Measuring the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads and showing relevant ads to people who visited our site |
When you click through to Turo we record the click, the vehicle, the page you were on and the channel you arrived from. Bookings themselves happen on Turo, so we later match a booking to the most recent click for the same vehicle to understand which marketing channels lead to bookings. This matching is approximate and is used for reporting only.
We may send Meta a record of a completed booking (for example the booking time and value, together with the click identifier Meta gave your browser) so Meta can measure ad results. We do not send Meta your name, licence details or payment information.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Meta ad settings. The site will still work if you do.
4. How we use your information

5. Who we share it with

6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our providers (including Google, Meta, Turo and our hosting and database providers) store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information.
7. Storage and security
We keep personal information in access-controlled systems and limit access to people who need it. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
